Ways to Unwind After the Holiday Madness

If your holiday was anything like mine it revolved around eating and sleeping. I regress to an infant like stage in my life where my day revolves around being fed into a food coma and then taking a nap, fed, nap, repeat. Going home (planning wise) is stress free and relaxing. But, the true MVPs of this holiday season have been the hosts that have worked hard to make everything merry and bright (and leaving you feeling twenty pounds heavier).  So, whether it was your parents, grandparents, or even you that hosted the holiday festivities; more than likely you/they are worn out. With the holiday season coming to a close it’s time to “treat yo self” for some well deserved me time. Here are four ways to de-stress from the holiday madness and start 2016 feeling refreshed.

 

Exercise

The best way to de-stress is to sweat it out. It’s a new year, which means a new plan to get in shape. Being active can boost your endorphins, so whether it’s kickboxing or yoga get up and move! You will be left feeling physically and mentally lighter.
