Guest Editor Picks: Sam Emrich of Catching Dragonfly

Editor's Picks, Fashion v November 13, 2015

Sam Emrich is a yogi and conscious creative with a penchant for preloved fashion. With a background in strategic and creative marketing and a not-so-secret tendency to live life upside down, Sam is passionate about working with mindful people and brands, across fashion, health and wellness.

Her blog, Catching Dragonfly is a brazen website for zen living — featuring content on yoga, wellness, eco-fashion and natural beauty. Sam believes that when it comes to feeling good, doing good and looking good, we should never have to sacrifice one for another. Perfecting that down-dog, finding that flawless cruelty-free foundation and shopping for that locally-made sweater are all reflections of conscious living. Through her marketing, writing and yoga teaching, Sam hopes to inspire others to do just that — live mindfully, on and off the mat.

EH: Describe your style in one sentence

SE: I describe my style as “namastyle” — minimalist, comfortable and well-tailored with a touch of vintage. Pieces that look great and facilitate mobility are key. Despite my photo, I tend to gravitate toward a more neutral color palette — black, white, grey.

EH: What’s at the top of your lust list and why?
SE: I’m lusting after the Embroidered Yoga Mat and Yoga Hoodie Wrap
EH: How do you lead a conscious lifestyle?
SE: I lead a conscious lifestyle through a consistent yoga practice. This reminds me to live mindfully on and off the mat.
