Amidst the hectic holiday festivities, let us take time to reflect, give thanks for what we have, and give back to those in need. At Ecohabitude, we are proud to host these stores below and many more that craft products to support a social cause. They do this by donating a portion of their profits to a program of their choosing. Just be on the look out for the “Profit Share” product footprint that a store might have tagged so you can put that love for shopping to good use and give back this holiday season
All you need is love and Roma boots. Rainy days are obsolete with these babies. The founder, Samuel Bistrian, made it Roma Boot’s mission to help eradicate poverty through education, fashion, and acts of kindness. By doing so they are “giving poverty the boot”. With every pair of boots sold, a brand new pair of boots and 10% of all of sale proceeds is donated to the Roma For All Foundation. Through Roma, we can spread the amore to those in need and make the world a better place.
A company made up of women and based out of San Francisco, Future Glory stands by its motto to create “products with purpose”. They don’t just craft beautiful bags and accessories; they fight back against the sexual exploitation and domestic violence that women are subjected to. By providing these women with opportunities for training and employment within Future Glory as well as donating a portion of proceeds to non-profit organizations within San Francisco; they are hoping to help rebuild the lives of these women.
Preparing for a new baby is an exciting time for any parent. Whether you are newbies at it or old pros, the prep for baby can be a thrilling and overwhelming experience. Luckily when it comes to picking out baby blankets, Hey Baby Craft Co makes the decision a no brainer. The founder, Amanda Lanier, puts some quality TLC into making these beautiful quilts. She spreads the love by donating a percentage of every purchase made to her local charity, Caring for Children Inc. This non-profit seeks to create safety for the lives of children and families in crisis.
When buying new décor for your home, one usually sticks with a single theme/color scheme/specific aesthetic or else all chaos breaks loose. The feng shui of a room could really be affected by that felt tiger mural you purchased for your mid century modern living room. With 10 Made Design, the décor they make and sell is meant to blend in with what you already have. From world travel souvenirs to family heirlooms, they create pieces that go with your taste and that you can cherish for years to come. By filling your home with their designs, you are also making a difference in the world. 10 Made Design collaborates with non-profit groups to fund one project at a time. 10% of profit for every product sold is donated to that specific non-profit group. Once the project has been financed and completed, 10 Made Design starts the process all over again with a new non-profit because “[They] believe giving should never be a one time experience but a continuing cycle”.
Styles come and go so fast that it’s impossible to keep up with what’s trending. One day that sequin blazer is in, next day it’s considered total 80’s trash. (Although I completely disagree. Hold onto that blazer! People will come around, you’ll see!) You need staples in your closet that will never go out of style. Look no further than Animal Behavior. Mix and match or layer them with practically anything; Animal Behavior designs the clothing pieces that can withstand the incoming trends and seasons. On top of that, they are out to protect nature. Donating 5% of purchased proceeds to the Panthera.org foundation, which protects the Amur Leopard from endangerment and to raise awareness for their habitats.
